Dennis McLendon, a well-known citizen of Geneva, dropped dead suddenly last Thursday afternoon and was interred in the colored cemetery here on the following Monday afternoon. J. F. Register, assisted by Revs. Mr. and Mrs. Martin have the sympathy of a large circle of friends in their sad bereavement. Mr. McGowin left his office on Thursday morning, ostensibly to go to the lumber mill which he was operating near Red Level, with the understanding that he would return about 4 p.m. Mrs. McInnis was a woman of fine Christian character and the large concourse of sorrowing friends which followed the remains to the cemetery made manifest the high esteem in which she was held by all who knew her.
