I had this idea that I would go get a shot of the moon rising over the deck of the USS Ronald Regan. All the stars were aligned so to speak: America’s newest aircraft carrier was in town, there is a full moon, no fog, and I know just the place to get this shot. I arrived at the cliff overlooking the harbor early to get a good spot because I knew all the other photographers in town had the same bright idea I had. Well… long story short; the moon wasn’t even close to rising over the ship. I didn’t account for where the moon would rise in the summer. DOH!!So, lemons to lemonade, here is a shot of the moon light on the water with an oil rig. Sorry Ronnie; although I’m sure there were 20 photographers standing on the breakwater getting the exact shot I wanted.
sweet shot bro!
Pretty Jeff!
