Every other week or so I walk around the Santa Barbara harbor to see the sights and snap a few photos. On this last trip I came across this guy hoisting his boat out of the water, presumably for some repair work. What struck me was the beauty of the boat with perfect lines and color.Later on I came across a couple homeless men sitting on a bench watching the boats. One guy said “Hey, that’s a nice camera! Wanna hear three jokes?” “Just three?” I asked. The jokes were of course raunchy and only one was funny but it was an awesome effort and I appreciated it. They then started complaining about the weather of all things. Aghast, “Look around” I said, “What are you complaining about? It’s perfect.” It was indeed a perfect day. “I’m freezing” they said simultaneously and went on to complain about various other things that I find perfect.
