For those of you not frightened away by the title of this post I will
spare you the graphic details of Cassidy’s adventures in potty
training. We have learned that the line between bribery and reward is
a fine one. In return for using the potty Cassidy receives one
chocolate covered raisin for “pee pee” and two for “poo poo.” Further, upon completion of the blessed event our family breaks out into a song entitled “Pee Pee in the Potty Like a Big Girl.” This is accompanied by a special dance around the house. We are pleased to report that since we instated the bribery/reward and music policy, potty training has been largely a success with only one or two major accidents. The lesson here is “What ever works” even if it cost us our dignity.
