I really ought to keep my camera out and at the ready for times like this. Glancing out the window I spotted this beautiful dragonfly land on an iris in our backyard. That’s when the internal debate began… “How do I run to the closet to get the camera, change lenses and stalk this bug without raising suspicion in Cassidy?”After getting all set up, the dragonfly was still there! So I got this shot from about four inches from the bug. He was so cooperative. When startled, he would fly off somewhere and then return to the same spot striking an identical pose… perfect!
